The newest member of the Apple smart phone group, Apple iPhone 7 is rumored to have dual back camera lenses. Another manufacturer of Smartphones, Huawei has also adopted the dual back camera lens. According to Jasmine Lu, one of the top analysts of Morgan Stanley, stated in a report that this inclusion of dual Back cameras will be slowly adopted by many other Smartphone manufacturing companies. According to the report, this is a new revolution in mobile technology.

The basic advantage a dual back camera has over the traditional single lens back camera is the high quality images that can be captured in it. In future one can also look forward to facilities like depth analysis and mapping of 3D objects. This will also give app developers new targets to create more powerful and attractive apps for Smart phones having dual back cameras.

New rumors also show that a new Apple iPhone 7 Plus versions will include a dual lens back camera technology which was acquired by Apple along with the LinX purchase the company made last year. The LinX technology actually helped the smartphone camera to reduce image noise, increase light sensitivity allow refocusing and also allow the user to capture much more prominent and high quality images. The images captured are of such a high quality that it can be compared to an image captured by any DSLR camera.

In earlier times, the smartphones carrying dual back cameras were not over very high quality and thus did not have any kind of advanced features.
