Recently, we have heard about Apple Pay releasing in China, but not working too fine due to the immense congestion on the servers. Later reports show that Apple has worked on the problems on the servers and are gradually recovering the whole situation. A certain investment firm by the name of Piper Jaffray, have stated a poll among some of the most reputed and independent software merchants and vendors. Totaling 507 in number, 44% of them have shown keen interest in understanding and knowing about the terminals for NFC payments.
This form of payment allows the user to make contactless deals and accept or send payments to other merchants or parties. Out of all the dealers who have shown keen interest in contactless payment facilities, 67% of the merchants blankly supported Apple Pay. Though a close second was Android Pay systems, Apple Pay simply took the show away. 8% of the total number of dealers was supportive of PayPal, another gateway, and the least support came for Samsung Pay. This poll clearly shows that though PayPal is quite old and reputed, Apple Pay has entered the market and is looking to top the list for a long time. Another payment gateway, which is not far behind Apple Pay, is the Android Pay.
According to Munster, though the whole poll was not quite fruitful for PayPal, it favored good for Android Pay and Apple Pay, and also the digital wallets. According to Jaffray, Apple Pay won’t actually create a big contribution in the Apple revenue for the financial year 2016 and 2017. According to their estimations, Apple has much bigger portals to bring in revenue and Apple Pay will account for only approximately 1% of the whole amount.
