Drones are some of the most advanced robotic gadgets which are available to the general public. All across the world, it has created quite a buzz among drone enthusiasts and amateur filmmakers. One of the biggest companies, whose drones are not only available all across the world, but are quite reputed, is DJI. This China based top drone manufacturing company has finally come out with the latest of its world famous drone series, the Phantom 4.
DJI Phantom series has some of the most reputed state of the art technology drones, which are used by amateurs as well as professionals. With a much more enhanced flight systems and cameras, the DJI Phantom series has been praised worldwide. With the new DJI Phantom 4 model, there has been a lot of buzz. The biggest news regarding the model is that the model is being shortly released by the company in collaboration with Apple.
The new Phantom 4 has a new technology built in it called the Obstacle Sensing System. This system mainly senses any object in the flight path of the drone at a distance of 0.7 meters to 15 meters. It mainly uses two of the sensors it has placed at the front end of the fascia for detecting. On detection, the internal system automatically prompts the drone to change the flight path in order to avoid the obstacle. This new model has a more powerful battery, allowing it to increase the speed to 20m/sec in the special sports mode. In comparison with its predecessor, the Phantom 3, the total flight time has also been upgraded to 28 minutes.
Another new technology has been introduced with the new Phantom model. Being called the ActiveTrack, the name suggests its work. The user can simply choose an object in the camera of the Phantom and the drone will use its sensors to track the object and follow it. According to the announcements done by DJI, the drone will be available at the Apple stores shortly and will exclusively be available their till 23rd March, 2016.
