The list includes names like Sen. Ron Wyden (D‐Ore.), Rep. Ted Lieu (D‐Calif.), Rep Justin Amash (R‐Mich.) and so on. If you look at the list of the security advocates that is standing by the company, Edward Snowden, the most noted security advocate is also by their side along with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

While on one end Apple who was standing alone initially, is now gaining support for a lot of people, on the other hand, there also seems to be a drift in thought as noted figures like John Kasich and Donald Trump who are presidential candidates, alongside Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D‐ Calif.) Rep. Trey Gowdy (R‐S.C.), Sen. Tom Cotton (R‐Ark.), and other such names who are standing by the FBI.

Even though Cook is under a lot of pressure from the US judicial apparatus and the officials of the Law Enforcement, the fact that he is not willing to move from his decision seems to be that this is going to be a battle that will take a long time to resolve. Can months or years, that is something that is still unknown; however it has been revealed that the company is already planning to take the matter to the US Supreme Court with an appeal if it is required. However, the immediate plan of action is to get a stay on the FBI court order that was issued recently.
