Apple has never had a bight history pertaining to social networks. The launch of the company’s infamous tool for social networking in 2010 named Ping saw its end in just two years as the company had shut it down. This year, along with the announcement that was made by the company about its music streaming service, the company also launched a music based social network that was called Connect.
It is believed that Connect is very different from the traditional and regular social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Connect was unveiled by Drake ad Trent Reznor who are popular artists for hip hop. The service was given a ringing endorsement as Drake mentioned that this would be a really good way that will helps in the interaction of artists and their fans. Even though the launch happened 8 months back, Connect is still trying to make its place in the minds of listeners and artists.
It is also said that Apple has not made any kind of improvements or updates for the feature. It is also believed that there is a lot that could be improved. Some of the ways where the enhancement of Apple music could help would include the live streaming, notifications, uniqueness of content, and support for Apple TV, Improved commenting etc.
A user could get various reasons to opt for the service if the company would allow the live streaming feature to come to live. This would include the live streams that took place at shows, concerts, interviews etc. Even the fact that users cannot upload their own posts in Connect. They are only allowed to comment on the posts that are uploaded by personalities and artists. While this may be beneficial in one way, but in the other end it can also be a problem as this deprives fans the right to ask their favorite artists answers to questions that are there in their mind.
