Vague claims were made in a Chinese report pertaining to the fact that in the field of health and wellness, Apple is presently working on the next year’s release of a killer device. The news which was posted in the Economic daily mentioned that the hyperbolic piece of the latest sensing tech for health, will be in built in the upcoming flagship of the iPhone that is due to release in 2017.
The only specification of the information that is known points out to a device which can help in measuring the levels of the blood sugar and heart rate. Presently when it comes to heart rate measurements, there is a sensor that is built inside the Apple Watch; on the pipeline is the device for the measurement of the blood sugar.
Though it seems unlikely, however this information may just be pointing out the next gen of the Apple Watch. It was specifically mentioned by Tim Cook last year about the fact that any health products of the future will be kept separate so the pace of the innovation will not be slowed down due to the FDA approvals. He stated that the approval cycles of the FDA are too long and that is the reason why he does not mind to put something alongside the Apple Watch. The reason for that is due to the fact that when it comes to innovation, it would hold them back.
The possibility of why the Watch does not have the O2 saturation is due to the approval process of the FDA even though the pulse oximeter teardown can be found in wearables. In the fitness front, the top contender is said to be the O2 saturation when it comes to the health side, this is the reason why the scenario for the watch bands by Apple to offer sensors for blood sugar built in is plausible.
