It seems to be that Instagram is planning to bring about some new features this year, after being inspired from the Snapchat feature of Stories, now even Instagram, also plans to bring this feature for their users also. Recently there was an officially announcement made by Snapchat about Geostickers. This is a feature which gives users the ability to decorate their pictures the way they want.
Before users plan to send their images, they can apply the overlays which are location based by selecting the Geostickers that they want. After they go ahead and make the changes the way they want, then they can go ahead and sent it through Snapchat’s messaging feature.
There is a difference between Geofilters and Geostickers and one should be confused between the two. When Geostickers are used, it is not essential that the location will be mentioned from where the person has sent them. They can be drawings which are caricature like which can be used for landmark highlighting, local trend mocking and various other features. While Geofilters can be moved around, however, if you want to overlay an image, you can do that with the help of Geostickers.
There are also images that will show you how Geostickers have been used in order to make the images a little more interesting as well as to bring some humour to them. Presently for those living in the San Francisco area, there are around 15 stickers which can be used. Around the world, there are around 10 cities that are supported by Geostickers around the world. They are Paris, Sydney, São Paulo, San Francisco, Riyadh, DC, Washington, New York City, Los Angeles, London and Honolulu. It is yet to be updated as to which cities will be updated on the list next in order to receive the feature.
