There are a lot of private players in the industry launching their apps for the airlines and paying off to the users for them however none of the actual airlines worked upon their own app. Not any more, Virgin America is bringing their own app for their airlines for the users now. It took them long however worth waiting. The reports directly revealed about the app of the Virgin America for Android as well as iOS platforms.
The features for checking in, flight booking, special discounts, fares, journey details are all included within the app. Virgin America claims that their app will actually cut down the real time of flight booking. Their app shall allow the users to easily book a set for themselves within 60 seconds. Interestingly Virgin America also tied up with Spotify to allow users play destination inspired playlists while on the go. The streaming features of the songs will only work on the Spotify app. This is one of the odd kinds of the features ever provided by any company.
The integration for the features within the app was started building last year after the partnership of both the companies. A public list of more than 70 cities was curated. The feature is specifically available for those users who carry a paid subscription. The non-paid users will also have to listen to the ads while playing songs and they won’t be able to select their favorite songs. The airlines app will also be sending real time notifications to the users about the personalized upcoming deals, the flight status, etc. as well.
