Apple’s huge marketshare is depleting fast, this is something which can scare Tim. All is not lost though, Apple has a lot of time to regroup and get back on the track. Earnings were announced recently and things seemed pretty good. The smartphone market changes very fast, this report is extremely crucial. In Q3, the shipments rose by 6% and now it has touched 375 million. Apple has to take advantage of this; they can’t lose this valuable market.
With each quarter, the number just gets bigger and bigger. Apple frequently launches products and this keeps the numbers steady. Sometimes it is their smartphone, at other times, they launch laptops. Overall growth is one thing and individual growth is something else. Apple will have nothing in their account, if the numbers don’t favour them. These figures are not very impressive; they need to revise some strategies. Apple can’t stop the production of other devices, it is just not possible. This basic war has been going on for long now, it is about the better operating system. If their marketshare diminishes, the power of the brand will also increase. They always used to be the dominant player. Samsung didn’t show anything positive either, they are clearly struggling. They lost 4% of this market; other vendors will relish this opportunity. New manufacturers like Huawei are doing excellent work, they are growing fast. Vivo’s growth is not bad too, but they are on the lower side.
