Microsoft is working on their camera app for the iOS and claims it’s to be much smarter. The latest camera app of the Microsoft “Pix” is no longer providing the user controls instead the app is being controlled by artificial intelligence. The app is smart enough to adjust the controls on own to give you the best possible results. The app will also automatically enhance the results for the user and show the before and after clicked pics. Recode and TNW have testing both the apps and seems to be pretty impressed by it. TNW earlier described the claim of the Microsoft for their app as bold however now after checking the results they seem to be confident about it.
The app from the Microsoft is one of the best camera apps and is damn easy to use. Artificial intelligence applies the best composition of the settings for clicking a decent shot. Pix can easily recognize the image of the faces and automatically adjusts the exposure without hurting the background. The quality of the pictures is very decent and there is no visual difference between a manual shot and a shot taken by effects of the artificial intelligence. Recode claims that Apple’s own camera app takes burst shots for best visual shots automatically however Pix dives in deeper with the theory and goes far beyond the approach.
There are a variety of ways in which Microsoft has been using the artificial intelligence. It focuses on the subject, reduces the background noise, auto adjusts the white balance, and also applies the brightness and contrast effects automatically for making your face look brighter and cleaner in the clicked pictures. Pix also have the ability to create live photos. The promo video of the Microsoft says that whenever an interesting moment is detected, Pix shall start creating live photos for the user. The app is free for every user to be downloaded on the app store of iOS.
