Otakara the Japanese blog last month reported that Apple is willing to announce their latest Macintosh Book Air for the consumers. The latest model of the MacBook Air will be carrying USB-C ports which are based on the protocol of the Thunderbolt 3. The new model of the MacBook Air is expected to be featuring by the end of the June and the shipments to the registered retailers of the company will begin after August. Though the rumors are not yet confirmed by the company.
Looking at the reports of the DigiTimes, a Taiwanese blogs Apple is expected to be carrying the release of the USB-C MacBook Air. The reports doesn’t claim the dates for the launch of the MacBook Air however looking at the reports of the Otakara, they claim that Apple shall be launching their MacBook Air in June and begin shipping by August. While all the other companies like Acer, Dell, Asustek Computer, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Lenovo and Sony are using normal USB devices in their computers, Apple is adopting USB Type-C interface for their MacBook Air.
The design of the new MacBook is expected to be similar with the old MacBook. It will be ultra- thin with the screen size of 13 and 15 inches. DigiTimes also further adds that Apple’s new ultra-thin MacBooks will be carrying molded hinges of metal injection. The sales of the complete Mac lineup have stagnated and this is high time when Apple should be launching a new MacBook in the market. The new Apple 12 inch MacBook is expected to be selling at $999.
Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst from KGI Securities says that Apple will be launching the 3 models of the MacBook by the end of the year. The 13 inch model of the MacBook will be launched by September and the couple of lighter versions of 13 and 15 inch screen size will be launched in the between September-December.
