The well-known social community running app Runkeeper has introduced some new features to their app. The latest version of the app has been given the accessibility to create virtual groups of own for running. The user can create these groups based on their own circle of people for motivating each other. These are virtual clubs for fitness via running. The development team of the app is trying to push the users to run more ad stay fit. Running is a complete cardiovascular exercise. People who do not get enough time to join a gym or exercise can stay fit y running 3 – 4 times in a week.
Unlike any other regular app, the user can create an own group of running with 25 people. Once the community has been set up, the invites are automatically sent to all the users. The admin can throw random weekly/monthly challenges to all the users. They may also count upon the kilometers of runs per week. Motivating messages can be exchanged among the group. It also shares the insights of the group members upon the completion of the task challenge.
The leaderboard on the app decides the top three winners among all the group participants and shares a friendly competition among the rest. These all features are good enough to push any user and make them run tirelessly. Runkeeper being a cross platform allows the users from iOS as well as Android to take part in each other’s group. There are many similar apps already present in the market however Runkeeper is the only one which has been consistent while exercising changes and challenges for the user. In fact, last year Runkeeper was one of the first third party apps which provided their platform for the Apple watch operating system. The latest version of Runkeeper is available for free on the app store on iOS.
