For the people using the Apple watch, Apple is planning to launch a limited edition of the watch straps on the theme of 2016 Olympics. These straps will be colored in limited edition country flags. Apple is planning to sell the flag themed watch bands for 14 participating countries as the game is expected to be kicking off by August.
The only unfortunate part is, these bands will be only available in the stores of the Brazil where the Olympics will be held. Apple has planned to make these bands available in in Village Mall in Barra da Tijuca. These watch bands are made from Nylon material showing the original single flag colors of a country. The list of the 14 countries for which Apple will be making the watch bands currently are given below:
· The Netherlands
· South Africa
· Canada
· Great Britain
· Mexico
· Germany
· Jamaica
· United States Of America
· New Zealand
· China
· Australia
· France
· Japan
· and finally Brazil
These bands are only selectively available for a very short period of time in the Brazil store of the Apple. It is also expected that these bands will be highly collectible in market and shall be easily fetching a higher bid value among the people who could not buy one. There are a huge number of people in the market who would like to own one for them while cheering for their nation in Olympics. Each piece of the watch band is priced at $49. There are likely higher chances of them getting finished easily as they are always available in very precise and limited number for the users.
Sprinter Trayvon Bromell, the athlete from United States tweeted one of his pics showing him with the United States watch band in his hand. He already quickly bought one for himself. This is probably first time when Apple took such initiative.
