An all technology in the world of the storage is all set to revolve the science behind the data storage. A new technology is all set to be a part of the market sooner which could easily supersede the flash and the magnetic media in the market. This technology shall be also capable of adding more than thousand terabytes of the storage in the same drive, if the developers and scientist could manage it perfectly. The scientists who are experimenting with the storage technology have showed their way to the usage of the single atoms for storing the bits of the information. The study has been published in the Nanotechnology scientific journal.
The new technology being dubbed by the scientists have scaled memory. It has used a bed of copper with more than 60,000 placed chlorine atoms. All of these atoms are scattered randomly and also managed to store each and every bit of information at a single time.
The storage of any device is completely measurable in terms of the quality of the information being stored within the device in the area of the media. Going by the claims of the scientists and the researcher’s, area density of the storage device with the latest technology will be 502 terabits per square inch. All the storage devices which are being currently shipped in the market have the have the highest area density of 1.34 terabits per square inch.
You may yourself compare the difference between the both. In fact even the blue rays of today do not support more than 60 gigabits per square inch of the area density within the storage device. A number of issues related with the storage devices can be easily solved. No wonder in future the storage devices will be much compact carrying higher density of the bandwidth for the storage.
