Twitter has some big issues, their branding is wrong. The company started some iconic trends, but they failed on the monetization aspect. The traffic generation is huge; Twitter sees millions of people every week. Facebook’s strategies were solely based on advertising and monetization; they had no problems with the revenue. Jack Dorsey found it very hard to impress the investors; the community has now finally given up.
They will get some billions, but the equation is not that simple. Twitter’s popularity can be used by a few companies; they must understand the social media business. Microsoft can’t use it properly; Verizon is not fit to handle it.
As Facebook is not even in the picture, the main players are Apple and their bitter rival Google. Larry’s company can revolutionize social platforms, if they take hold of this. Google Plus will get the much needed promotion; Twitter’s crowd will pass through that gateway. Google needs a strong social site to challenge Facebook; they have monopolized the digital ecosystem. Apple was late to enter this battle, their plan is strange. Apple will handle Twitter differently; it will uplift the brand. Twitter will gain massively from the ecosystem, user interfaces will be revamped. Apple will expand their digital footprint, if it goes their way.
Twitter shares are passing through massive highs and lows, Apple is undecided right now. In 2016, directors want to see a positive direction. Cook clarified the issue and surprised Twitter,he wants better consumer products, social networks are not really important. They will never waste money on a dead company, they are careful about their business moves. After Disney left the conversation, Google’s game became easier. They have one competitor though, Salesforce is really sure about their moves. The additional features made matters interesting, but it never got massive users. It tests creativity, while Facebook is neutral.
