Swift which is now the fastest budding programming language was actually launched by Apple in 2014 in WWDC. Slowly it became one of the most popular apps which teaches inexperienced people the knick knacks of coding and turns them into a pro, all by means of fun.
With its puzzle like set up, Swift Playground introduces the people to world of software engineering and forces them to think like coders and apply their recently learnt skills to solve the challenges. It is an entertaining way to educate people like teenagers or adults, as it reduces the complexities and increases the interest level by inspiring them to learn more.
How it works?
This app designed by the software engineers of Apple begins with two lesson packs, one, Learn to Code 1, teaching the basics of programming and the other, Learn to Code 2, teaching beyond the fundamental matters. After these two, there are challenges and more lesson packs. Since all these are RSS based, so to add something new, the app does not need to be updated.
Through this app, new playgrounds can be created and also present playgrounds can be duplicated. As far as the tutorial is considered, it is quite easy and user friendly. With the help of sets of instructions and small steps and tasks, one can quickly get the hang of the language and the programmes. The interface is split into two parts for easy handling and hints are also provided for the users who get stuck.
The best thing about this app is that it allows the user to use their own creativity and does not impose its own designs. The user can also use their code in future. The final version of the app is expected to be launched in fall with iOS 10.
