Recent news has been published claiming that Apple has planned to open another R&D lab in Grenoble, France concentrating to image tech research. The same has been published in a local French daily Le Dauphine Libere through iPhone.fr. As indicated by the reports, Apple already has a group of expert scientists who works secretively in this area. Another 800 sq. mts. R&D lab will extend that group into near about 30 individuals. The lab is going to be equipped with some cutting edge imaging facilities and a special white room is also there.

Apple is reported to have picked the area as the company is working in collaboration with a semiconductor producer STMicroelectronics. They are a supplier of several Apple products’ components, including the older iPhone models as well as the Apple Watch. The city of Grenoble is famous for the giant museums, research centers and some of the top universities. Some other attractions are dubbed Bubbles and cable cars that connect the town to the peak of the La Bastille hill. This is famous and well known for the fortress on the slopes built in the 18th century.
