For the iOS front, the first games of Nintendo was released recently and the company is still putting in the necessary efforts to come up with more on the iOS platform. The Entertainment planning and development General Manager of Nintendo, Shinya Takahashi, at the General shareholder meeting that was held annually by the company stated that the company has planned that a large portion of the company’s resources is going to be dedicated to tablets and smartphones.
In terms of investment, the company plans to even come up with physical controllers that can be used for tablets and smartphones. For the iPad and iPhone, presently there are already third party controllers that exist, however it seems to be that the company has plans to come with their own controllers in specific.
The company basically wants to build games which are under the action category for the various mobile devices and with the help of the physical controller the company believes that the experience of the game will be a lot better with the help of the physical controller.
Tatsumi Kimishima who is the president of Nintendo also stated that for the games software front, on iOS, the company will still continue to invest on it. In March, alongside the partner with DeNA which is a Japanese company, for the iOS platform, the game named Mitomo had been released. This is said to be a game under the social lifestyle category. However both the companies have various other things that are planned in the pipeline. For the future, the company has planned to release different projects as what Kimishima had further stated. It has also been confirmed by the company that there are 5 mobile titles that the company has planned to release by March, while two are yet to be known, however there is one game which is Miitomo, then another which is on the basis of Fire Emblem and finally the third on Animal Crossing.
