The mechanism of the App Extension is now being used by Apple so the new support can be built by third party developers for their apps which are Siri compatible. This is done with the help of registering the intents and domains that can be handled by them.

There have been limited sets that have been created by apple which is similar to the Extension Points. Fr domains which are third part, this is said to be useful as well as when it comes to invoking through voice, it seems to make sense.
