A tuneful bug is bugging Apple and Apple Music lost its tuning because of that. It has been reported that a bug was found in iTunes 12.4 and because of it, issues regarding playback has surfaced in Apple Music in tracks less than 60 seconds. The issue was reproduced by MacRumors on iTunes 12.4.1 and Macs running OS X 10.11.5.
What’s bugging?
According to the report, there is a buffering bug, which is hampering the download of tracks. Generally, Apple Music follows the same path for the downloading of tracks. When the active track nears its end and one minute is left, then iTune signals for the downloading of the track which is added on the queue so that when the present song ends, he next can be played instantly. But thanks to the bug, that this is not possible for tracks less than 60 seconds. The downloading of the next song never begins as iTune waits for the download to end which has never actually begun. This thing is well described in a poster, where it says if the song runs for less than one minute the download of the next song doesn’t start, mainly because some remaining one minute issues remains unsolved.
How to deal with the bug?
Songs played using Apple Music are generally the victim of this bug. No harm is caused to the albums and songs stored in iTunes locally. In the previous versions, iOS 9.3.2 or macOS Sierra also this bug was not detected. It seems that the problem arose from the buffering handling tactics of Apple. However, it is expected that Apple will soon find a solution from this bug and it will no more bug anyone. Till then, stay away from tracks less than 60 seconds as not all waits are sweetly rewarded.
