Last week, the Swift Playground app was revealed by Apple, this is developed with an objective to help make the Apple Programming language coding easy to learn. The app helps make the learning experiences a lot fun and interactive.
For those who do not know what Swift is all about, Apple had made the official announcement of the open source language during the WWDC that took place in 2014. In order for it to be expressive and concise, it took around 4 years to develop so that it could help make coding a lot more approachable for Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac and iOS.
With the help of Swift Playgrounds, users are invited by Apple so that they can use Swift to master the basics by solving various kinds of puzzles. There are also various kinds of challenges that can be taken on by the user so that they can get into the advance mode. From new learners, no coding knowledge is required by Swift Playgrounds. For seasoned developers, this app provides a way that is unique so that the ideas can be brought to life.
For the start, the users get to understand the various underlying coding concepts like bug fixing, initialization, types, operators, variables, conditional code, parameters, loops, functions and commands. On the left of the screen the users can go ahead and create various kinds of codes. This is also the place where the learning takes place. On the right side, the results can be observed by them.
A pop‐up keypad can be brought up when you tap the number that you wish to edit. Around the code that is existing, you can drag the statement boundaries conveniently. To minimize typing, from a Snippets library, pieces of codes which are used commonly can be dragged. For coding, there is also a Quicktype keyboard that has been developed. The characters that are commonly used can easily be accessed by users if they hold on to each key.
