The MacOS Sierra and iOS10 now brings the AirPrint from Apple, this is something which is coming with various kinds of improvements and is being welcomed. The AirPrint Bluetooth Beacon is also included which allows PDF’s to be created in the iOS from the print panel, there is also the password only printing and support for multi user features.
The AirPrint Bluetooth Beacon is a new feature that Apple has come up with and along with that, the use of the Bluetooth beacon technology is almost on the same grounds of the platform of the iBeacon. This allows a wireless connection from iOS devices to printers which is reliable. Another benefit of this feature is that is that in the market, the other Bluetooth beacons that are available of third party companies can also be configured.
Once the setup has been completed the information of the connection is sent up. This will help in the prevention of any kind of complexities in regards to the network. This can also be used to set up print servers so that it can work and the network of each printer has a beacon which reflects the IP address of the server.
Another thing with the iOS10 is the fact that now even PDF’s can be created from the panel of your printer. This is very similar to what can be done on Mac. Once the Print option has been selected, the feature can be accessed with the help of the preview screen of the print.
The AirPrint supports the password and username option for a printing experience which is protected. There is also the support for the info to be stored by Apple. It will also then allow the printing of multiple users in one device as well as printing which requires a password but does not require the user name in macOS Sierra and iOS 10
