Apple is popular as the Fruit of Knowledge and also as the Forbidden Fruit. Well, it depends on the people that how they perceive a single thing and most commonly what we get are mixed perspectives and reviews. Similarly, the keynote of Apple got mixed reaction from its users.
Some were happy and some were not but it is not really possible to make each one happy simultaneously as different people have different needs.
The Boo‐ers
Well, the problem with great companies is that they sometimes fail to carry on and deliver in accordance with the growing expectations of their users. The same thing happened with Apple. People were expecting a single, big thing which will create a “revolution” but sadly, they were disappointed. And so were the people who were eager to hear about the hardware stuff. This lack of surprise surprised them and they got offended.
The Wow factors
However, this does not mean that the keynote was good for nothing. Instead in this keynote Apple addressed some of the existing troubles and smoothed the route of using an iPhone, iPad etc. And, it is these small stuffs which help to create a big picture. Apple will always be the second best after Google in the matter of photo identification. But in spite of that they never compromised with the quality of their camera hardware. This time iPhone itself will create videos to make the memorable moments more special. Apple is also permitting camera apps to use raw photo data for the betterment of the same.
The users want Siri DSK to be accessible to any app but though that could not happen yet the third‐party apps or the installed apps can be used via voice. The Homekit app, Auto‐locking of Macs, Apple pay being accessible through Mac, watchOS 3 (for fast action) etc. are those change which though appear small are stepping stones for a bigger future. So, the keynote cannot be brushed off as a disappointment.
