Teens today have become very tech savvy and learn very quickly how to work around a new app. Dating apps have been around for quite a while now however because of the virtual world we cannot say who the person is on the other side. One such dating app that is known is Tinder.
Well recently the headlines were hit about the fact that now users who are not 18 and above will be banned from using the app. Launched in the year 2012, this is an app that initially used to allow who were 13 years and above to register. They would be able to connect to people of their own age groups.
Recently the company reviewed their policy and is now working towards banning the users who are below the age of 18. In a news blog, Tinder stated that the company has a responsibility to ensure that they assess the experience of the user constantly considering that it is a platform which has more than 11 billion connections. With such a high volume comes a huge responsibility, in order for them to be consistent, the company has decided that the services of the users who are below the age of 18 will be discontinued.
The change is said to happen very soon and once that is the percentage of global users who would get affected would not even be 3%. A spokeswoman for Tinder did not provide any more comments about any other updates to PC Mag, however did point out to the statement what TechCrunch had published. This company’s move has come after Sean Rad the CEO of the company had promised a user experience that would be transgender friendly even though the new filter details are still scant. There have been various new changes that have been made by Twitter which includes even the Super like option if you feel someone stands out of the crowd.
