The latest data produced by the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners has put Apple in a deep concern. The data shows that the iPhone users have started holding the iPhone for at least 2 years now before switching to a new version of the iPhone. They are not willing to upgrade their iPhones before 3 years now.
Almost 3 years ago, more than 2/3 of the iPhone being used were the people were more than a year old however now the number has been raised. These points to a major concern for the company, it means that people are not willing to spend much every year and are holding the iPhone for at least more than a year. They are not buying uselessly each year. Such case of planned buying could be a deeper mess for the company.
Even the Apple financing plans are not working for the people. Even the companies have started rewarding the people with new benefit offers if the buyer is willing to make a payment in full or has already paid in full for their device. CIRP says that the new features being added and modified by Apple is not persuading them to buy. This is a matter of concern for them now.
They should be handling this situation tightly. It is important for them to access the situation and then take quick charge for it. If people stop upgrading devices, the sales funnel with break down and hence again leading to heavy losses for the company. Tim Cook has experiences higher volume of losses this year for Apple iPhone 6 and in September the iPhone 7 is being launched. It is important for him to figure out now how the sales can be doubled and how they can generate more revenue. He will have to break this market barrier.
