Instagram is following the reverse order chronology. They are upgrading their social network with a major update this month which will basically be controlling the feed that a user will be seeing in his account. The official announcement of their upgrade feed has been down on their blog. They have officially confirmed about launching their algorithmic feed for users this month.
The first confirmation about the Instagram upgrade was first done by the company officially in the month of the March. They clearly mentioned that after their algorithm update being applied on the social network a user will be able to majorly find the updates and the news about the topics he searches mostly upon and is interested in.
According to the research of the company, they have found that a user nearly misses the important news feed which may interest him/her 70 percent of the times. With the application of the new ordering a user won’t be broadly missing any of the topics which may interesthim/her. They want the user to be more engaged with the newsfeed and this is only possible when the latest news being share on his/her timeline is within their interest. No matter where the user moves and how many accounts a user starts following only the best post will be appearing in the news feed section. This is solely to improve the audience engagement and acquire new users for improving the market share.
Algorithmic timelines is being followed by the key players today. It started with Twitter first then moved to Facebook and now Instagram though the users have backlashed the idea completely. The have completely ignored the idea of launching the update. Many users are completely offended by the idea and not like to face new changes in their account though the company has not dropped their plans still. They are in complete vote of confidence for rolling the changes.
