Ken Segall, who was the former marketing guru for Apple had been part of the various strings of Apple’s i‐device, however he recently stated that off late the company’s way has been lost from simplicity. The biggest sign is the fact that company has a confusing scheme to name their iPhones.
He also went on to say that the simplicity days of the company may have died along with Steve Jobs who was also his buddy. His steak is that the names of the product of Apple is said to be very complex for their customer’s to keep a track of. He also said that he personally feels that the products which have been created by Tim Cook is said to bewildering. The company’s action on its own has served to be just like a public train where the off years are the S years.
This can be absurd considering the fact that there have been various features which are revolutionary like the Siri, the 64 bit processing and Touch ID which have been introduced in the company’s S models. Segal also went on the say the naming of the S has only become a way to confuse customers. Due to this, it has also become very difficult for the marketing team to do their job. Well if you come to think of it, there is something to think about as to what Segal is trying to hint at. The product names of Apple have indeed become very difficult for a normal person to keep in mind.
It has also become difficult to understand as to why they also have upgrades that are significant. While it can be said that Tim Cook is certainly not Steve Jobs, however in comparison to the former CEO of Apple, he does have a lot of strengths. It is still deeply ingrained into its identity even though there is a lack of simplicity.
