Instead of coming up with a version 9, the app for Google Hangouts has launched the 10.0 version for iOS and Android. Included in the update, there are a few features that are specific to the platform. With this change, chatting with coworkers and friends will be a lot convenient.
For the Android front, the direct share of Android Marshmallow is now supported by the App, This means when a person uses the sharing menu, they will get the suggestions automatically. For the iOS platform, the changelog for iTunes includes two key features which are new, the first being the support for universal links and the other is to share a link so that you can invite someone to a call. When you talk about the universal links support, this means that using another app, the developer can configure the link that you have tapped from a different app, this will take to the conversation you are having on hangout so that the link can be shared The Version 10.0 is available on the App Store and Google Pay Store.
The debut of the latest feature of video and messaging pair is the big change on the horizon even though Google still tinkers away with Hangouts. The company also went on to say that Hangouts will still stick around even though there are new features that would be included in the Dua and Allo pair. The reason being the sticking around of Hangouts is due to the fact that it is part of the Work Suit of Google. The product will still be a standalone one as it cites a completely different market and audience. It was also pointed out in a rumor earlier, that Google had plans to take out the SMS support so that the Hangouts app’s performance could improve on a generic level.
