Lifebeam is a wearable technology company that has come up with its first consumer product called Vi. For companies like JBL, Under Armour, Samsung and various other company products, this has been the one that has provided the tech backbone. Recently the company had partnered with Harmon/Kardon and has come up with this new product which is said to debut soon on Kickstarter.
What is Vi?
If you look at the Vi, at the first glance, it looks very similar to the LG Tone. This is a Bluetooth headphone that comes with a neck control for volume adjustment. Just like any other Bluetooth headphone, this can be used when you’re commuting daily. It is a combination of a digital assistant that is voice activated like Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s Siri along with features of activity tracking. There are a slew of sensors that are packed in the ear bud, these sensors can help can track the person’s heart rate, elevation, motion and variability while running.
The heart rate is analyzed by Vi and will also let you know when you have to run a little fastern so that some more fat can be burned. With Apple Music and Spotify integration, the tempo tunes can be selected with the create beats that will make your blood pump every minute. If you want to skip any song or want to know your stats, Vi will do it for you. There are many smart assistants that are there in market however there is none which can be said to be a personal trainer
The way Vi works
Vi is just like any other Bluetooth product, it can be paired with your Android or iPhone device. You have to set the goals that you want on the Vi app. It also lets you chat with it either through SMS or verbally and also guides you just like a proper fitness trainer.
