Around 1,500 new emojis have been announced by Facebook recently to its Messenger service. The announcement was made by the company on the Official page of the Facebook Messenger. As per what has been stated, more diversity will be brought with the help of the new emoji.

As per the post that was put on the page, it stated that a person can choose from the different skin tones to the various great roles of women. To make a better representation of the world that we are living in, the emojis is the beginning. The new emojis that has come out is on the similar grounds of what had been added last year by Apple for their iOS. However, Facebook claims that latest emojis that has been added to their Messenger service includes a female swimmer, surfer, pedestrian, runner and police officer and is the first platform to offer such emojis.

In the future, a diverse set of emojis is said to come as per the notes that is available. The company also stated that in order to handle the displaying of the emojis, they are working towards a change. Earlier the emojis that were seen by users were native to the kind of device they had, Facebook’s own emojis could be seen by some, however now, the messenger emoji can be seen by all. The company is also working to ensure that none of their members would see emojis that didn’t make sense or the broken looking black boxes. A new emoji picker has finally been included by Facebook messenger on all platforms.

The picker is said to be very similar to the emoji picker that is built in on iOS. If you go to the composer and look towards the left, you will find the picker is located there. To gain access to the more diverse emojis and gain access to more than 1,500 of them, you can down load the messenger from the App store.
