Inspired by Google, Uber has also launched their project of self‐driving cars on the street. The project is an initiative to protect road accidents by teenagers, each year many accidents happen which are fatal in nature by teens. These tech firms believe that their algorithm behind developing smart self‐driven cars can help to protect a lot of car accidents on the streets.

The car from Uber’s Advanced Technology Centre will also be collecting data to ensure the safety of the pedestrians and the cyclists on the road. The cars from the Uber will come along radars, scanners and small sensors devices to sense the slightest of the activity on road. The local officials have already been warned about the project of driverless cars by the company and Uber is still in the early days of their project. It is not confirmed as in how much time the company may require developing their working prototype and delivering it to the people. By far it is assumed that it is the costliest project till date of the company.

They are spending heavily on it. The project is being undertaken in Pittsburgh as they think that the city has a good environment for testing the cars. Apple is following the similar path of launching their cars. Recently they have made a billion dollar investment in Didi Chuxing in China to understand the Chinese market as well as get a hold on the project. Didi is the direct competitor of Uber therefore here Apple can directly compete with them and understand the project completely. Apple’s project of self‐driven cars under the name of project Titan shall be launched by 2020 and is expected to be one of the costliest projects till date from the company. They are making every effort to turn around the project and get success.
