Apple is currently trying to put some R&D for adding new functionalities to their iWatch. A patent has also been filed by the company. According to the new functionality which is being thought of being added to the Apple iWatch, the Apple watches will be connected to the smart bands. The smart band watch will be GPS enabled and battery equipped.
It will be the new kickstarter campaign by the company for testing the possibilities of the device. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched for the smart band. The idea is to make a strap dedicated towards fitness for the Pebble Time Steel and Pebble Time made by PowerStrap. If the project gets appropriate funding it will be kick starting off sooner and also expected to deliver results well in time.
In the similar fashion and broadly based on the same ideas Apple is also working towards building some smart bands which may be able to add some new level of the functionality to the watches. The idea is, the user should be able to change the band easily for adding additional functionality rather than changing the complete watch. Apple is collectively building smart bands that should be capable to measure the user’s count of the oxygen in blood, rate of respiration, blood pressure and temperature of the body.
In the round of the crowd funding down by the Pebble Founder Eric Migicovsky PowerStrap raised a sum of 30k US dollars within few hours of their online funds bidding for the market. They will be selling a limited stock of the watches for $79 each. Apple also has similar plans of developing smart bands around the similar functionality. This is one of the proposed projects of the Apple and they are not sure as in how and when they will be beginning and ending the project.
