An estimate says that there are more than 80 percent of the people in the world who are using Android phones. Second is the usage of the iOS followed by negligible numbers for Windows and Blackberry OS. Android has been able to capture as well as control the market very easily, reason being they have been successfully able to partner with tons of companies and sell cheaper handsets in the market. Apple handsets are very costly therefore they have been crawling slower in the competition against Android.
A recent study which compared the margins between both the platforms has given some of the most shocking results. According to a study done by Blanco Technology Group it was found that in the first quarter of the 2016, more than 44 percent of the Android devices reported crash failure as compared to iPhone with 25 percent. From the Android sides some of the most high end phones like Samsung Galaxy S5/S6 were reported with highest number of crash reports and similar was for Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 devices. The failure rate of the devices was reportedly high in Asia. Nearly 55 percent of the crashes were reported in 2016 globally and 50 percent was reported in 2015. The crash reports of Europe were at 35 percent followed by 27 percent for the North America.
The results are alarming and Google should be working towards reducing the number of the crashes in their phones. Apple is still far behind in number of crashes against Android however it is still high infact very high in number. Android has been consistently hearing complains about crashing of the device. The reason is still unknown. Is it because of too many third party apps or something else. Google is chasing the equation to find the answer for the problem.
