It seems that soon there will be a new chapter to the history of the Apple. It is being assumed that Apple will soon allow drivers to store their driver’s license in their Apple wallet app electronically. The news has been confirmed by the CEO of the country’s Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) today shared an image of the upcoming work in progress feature above.
It is also being assumed that sooner people will also be able to store the copy of their other important documents too like their pan card, they travel tickets, their boarding passes, their reward cards, etc. It seems that the government of the UK is working towards building the API’s which shall help the people store their other documents along with their driver’s card (license) in their phone. It was also mentioned by DVLA CEO Oliver Morley in his tweet that the app is only a prototype and no such official timeline can be given about the development and the launch of the app in the market. He is also looking to add a feature where the photo of the user is not replaced by any one and is a genuine full proof working plan which could be worked upon after taking all the anomalies in consideration.
Earlier to UK an attempt was also done by the government of the IOW state towards building the same term. At that point of time, Apple was also in talk with 20 other state in US. This is for the first time the feature of the DVLA is being integrated with the Apple wallet app. The project looks promising and people are expecting to be using the digital version of their license sooner. This is one of the best works of the Apple. The project has kicked in and is expected to be soon showing results.
