The well‐known browser Opera is promising unlimited VPN (Virtual Private Network) to its users. The best part is that the unlimited VPN will be coming at no cost for the users. The company has already included the VPN service in their developer version of the web browser.
Last week an in built ad blocker was added to the web browser and now the VPN is also added to the IOS version of the app which is free to use again by the user. It will not attract any other charges and is completely free of cost to be used lifetime (at least the company says for now) Opera uses SurfEasy VPN service which has been acquired by the company in last March.
SurfEasy used to charge for its services after the expiration of the trial period. They were providing their stand‐alone apps for all the major platforms that is Android and IOS mainly. Other free VPN services has similar interface however they insert a lot of the ads to pay for the services being used by the user. Opera in comparison with all the other third part VPN services is much promising, ad free and includes no subscription fee or credit card details to be stored anywhere. The service can be used effectively used by any one for any time period and won’t attract any penalty or charges.
Opera is purely marketing their apps on relevant college campuses and workplaces where WIFI has limited proficiency or connectivity. They are explaining the benefits of the Opera app that the user can easily use the app to route the geographical location hence allowing people to use the geographically blocked websites and its content. It can also be used to access the social media websites which has been blocked by the administrators of the institution.
