The acquisition of beats which was $3 billion had sparked a cultural clash between apple and the headphone maker. Apparently, the conflict was an attempt that was made intentionally so that things could be shaken up in the music business of Apple. This was the information that was given recently in one of the reports.
The business ways of Beats was not sitting well with the a few team members of Apple as per the information Bloomberg had got from a few sources. For example, Jimmy Lovine, an executive of Beats has his own ways that he uses while negotiating with labels and artists which at times for a few people at Apple were unknown about it.
The beats employees were caught off guard after the acquisition by the so called laborious approval process pertaining to the new products. While the employees of beats felt that the process as they saw it was unnecessarily bureaucratic in nature, however the focus of Apple was mainly quality.
Due to the various conflicts that were going on, it led to the various executives leaving the company which included Ian Rogers who was a notable Beats executive who had left the company last August to pursue other ventures that was available in the business of music streaming. Two months after the Beats 1 radio was launched, Rogers had left the company; the development of this project was super headed by him.
It was problematic to see the losses of key personal; however as per an executive of Apple, the clash between Apple and Beats team was intentional. As per Bloomberg, the intent was to have people coming together from various backgrounds so that something groundbreaking could be created. It is expected that whatever the team could manage to put together would be unveiled at the Annual Worldwide Developers Conference that is held by Apple.
