Ever wondered why Apple always shows free apps tagged as “Get”, while the other operating systems marks them as free it is only Apple which tags their free apps as “Get”. What could be the reason behind this it is bit confusing for most of the people surely Apple is sensibly doing this. The changes from Free to Get were done in November 2014. Any consumer who clicks on Tap will get the label icon changed to install. Apple certainly agrees that Tap Get may not be the best term for marking the Free apps however it is certainly closer to what they want to suggest to the consumers.
A cloud icon with an arrow pointing downwards appears for the apps which have been not downloaded by the consumer however already purchased by them. The icon label changes to open if the icon has been installed however still not checked even once by the consumer. Apple has always been in a hurry to do something different from others. Unlike other operating systems like Windows, Blackberry, Android which carries a simple feature of downloading the app in the device, Apple wanted to do something different. They have changed their user interface to make it more interactive and informative for the users.
Apple has been always a consumer focused company and they think that making these small changes will make their device UI more interactive for their users. Apple’s devices are costly and certainly their consumers expect a lot from them. Apple keeps launching something new time to time for keeping the faith of their consumers alive in the company. Apple has no concrete reason behind the experiment on why have they kept it. We are hopeful about checking some more cool upgrades from Apple in similar ways. Apple’s effort on simplistic design is certainly helping a lot of people.
