The Handoff‐ part of Continuity was introduced by Apple two years ago. This was an innovative solution that was made to a problem that was not anticipated by anybody. Now it seems that even Microsoft plans to copy the same feature for their Windows 10 Operating System.

This was introduced first for OS X Yosemite and iOS8 and to Windows so that a more users could benefit of it. At the initial look, Continuity was a path that the company had come up so that the integration could be enhanced between iOS devices and Macs.
