On Twitter as well as on a press release, an official announcement was made by Nintendo about two of their popular game series Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem will finally joining the ranks for their first app for tablets and smart phones. There have been various other announcements that have been made by the company which included the revelation of the upcoming dedicated gaming systems. Presently the code name that has been given is NX which will be shipped in March 2017. As per the word floating across, it is believed that the gaming system might help to bridge the gap between handheld gaming and consoles.
Following the steps of its predecessors, the app for Fire Emblem will offer gamers a blend of strategy and role playing. In the series, gamers can connect with the console and handheld titles. The description of the new apps unlike Miitomo is said to be pure game applications. Miitomo was the first efforts that was put in by Nintendo for the smartphone sector and was purely a social app; however, a few fans were disappointed.
It is expected that the arrival of Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem should be in the fall of this year. In March 207, the company also plans to release two more titles for tablets and phones which will be in tandem development of DeNA however the details has not yet been shared. Nintendo it the recent years have been struggling to adapt in the gaming world of modern times. No doubt, the Wii U Console of Nintendo has seen sales that have been weak next to its more powerful competitors like Sony and Microsoft. Even the handheld devices have lost their traction given the fact that it is a lot more convenient to play on the tablet or smart phones even if various systems similar to the 3DS offer an analog stick and control buttons that are built in.
