A special lot has been submitted by Apple which can be sold at an auction to help in raising money for the prestigious London Design Museum‘s relocation. A very unique iPad Pro has been designed by Jony Ive along with the accessories that go along with it. It has name that has been given is Edition 1 of 1. The lot includes an iPad Pro of 12.9″ along with a golden yellow customised anodised finish, a Blue colored Smart Cover that is made from Leather and a case cover for the Apple Pencil which is one of the Apple accessories that does not sell much. The carry case for the Apple Pencil is small and is made from the Italian calf leather that is orange in color.
The company has also put a label that has been engraved Edition 1 of 1 to denote its product exclusivity. This has been done on the Smart cover’s underside and iPad Pro.
Given the fact that this is a special edition, in comparison to its regular price for the iPad Pro of the special edition, the premium is said to be a tidy premium so that it can be sold in the auction. The auction price for the collection is estimated to be anywhere up to around $20,000.
This lot is said to be a collector’s item that is very special and the details pertaining to the auction is also available online. It is also not surprising that the Design Museum has shown their gratitude for the contribution made by the company in their own way.
In a post, it was stated that the single editions are the latest products of Ive’s and is designed for the Design Museum‘s event exclusively. The auction co curator and curator of the Museum Deyan Sudjic stated that the museum was grateful to its friends who had donated pieces that were outstanding to help fulfil the ambition in the creation of the most important new cultural sites of London.
