Brave is a web browser which is speed and privacy focused, has been made by Brendan Eich. Brendan Eich is the co‐founder of Mozilla. This web browsers plan to get one to unblock ads. This web browser is supported by Mac, Linux, Windows, iOS and even Android. These operating systems have ad blocking built in. The ads would not be eliminated entirely, but it would be replaced with non‐intrusive and much speedier ads from the network of its own.
This plan is such that the advertiser has to pay for few impressions and all the payments are aggregated into a sum by this web browser, Brave. As per the number of the impressions that are served on their websites, these websites who are the participants of this plan gets 55 percent of the total money. After that, Brave distributes the bitcoins that remain among itself, the users and among the ad matching partners as well. The distribution is such that each gets 15 percent of the share.
In order to claim the share of funds which are deposited into a respective bitcoins wallet, the parties that would get must confirm their identity and then claim the funds. For the funds claimed by the users, they need to give their email, contact numbers and there are stringent identification steps for the publishers. The funds would be donated back to the sites they mostly visit if the users do not verify their identities.
Users have the option to block every ad and the payment can be done directly to the websites through Brave. Brave distributes the money among the publishers after deducting 5 percent of the amount of its commission. There is a choice to go ad free with no payment. Brave has advertised about its plan before and it is now seeking feedbacks from developers.
