On Thursday there was an application that was published which stated that Apple has plans and is also working towards turning the Apple watch in to a fully functional medical device. This will be a device which not only monitors the vital signs of the user however in case of an emergency and an urgent care is needed, an alert will be automatically sent out.

The application for the Care event detection and alert is a hardware system that provides a system that has the capability to monitor the environment that surrounds the care event. This is described as any situation or event that requires the assistance of the fire, police, rescue, medical personal or any other such emergency technicians.

Though in the document, the information was not specified. However it does state that the Apple Watch is said to be qualified uniquely to ensure that the system goal is not fulfilled. The wearable will not just incorporate sensors that are advanced however will also have the relative hardware that has the capability to monitor care event along with a specially designed communication suit that has the ability to transmit a notification during the time of an emergency through the iPhone.

There are also advanced features that is said to be put in the watch. For example in case the apple watch detects a change suddenly however does not feel any a heartbeat, then it may be determined by the system that either the wearer has had a heart attack. There will also be a care list that is incorporated where the user can feed in all the emergency numbers that has to be contacted in such a situation. This can include the friends, family and even the doctor’s number that is known to them.
