Variety had reported earlier, that the Longacre Theatre was supposed to air the musical Broadway called Nerds however on Tuesday, the producers officially announced that the plans are put off for now due to the fact that the financial backer’s support had been lost. Carl Levin who is the producer of the show started with a lot of disappointment, on behalf of the fellow investors and producers, the show called Nerds would be postpone due to the fact that a major investor was lost.
The Nerds was said to have a script that was very witty and the onstage technology that was integrated. The show was supposed to include different effects such as projection mapping and holograms.
The Nerds was said to be an adaptation of the rivalry which is considered to be an epic one between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. The Tech Titans rivalry has been going on for quite some time now and this was supposed to be seen with a lot of fun and twist in the Broadway show.
The official announcement was made in January by the producers where they said that the Broadway show was set to debut towards late April. There were also reports which stated that the cast was already chosen and the rehearsals have already started.
It is yet to be known if the team responsible for the production of the Broadway show plans to run it anytime in the future or not. For those who are interested in looking out to know more about the life of Steve Jobs, well there is nothing to worry about, it is said that there is a Broadway show that that is supposed to debut called The Crazy One’s which is dedicated to Steve Jobs.
