IPhone users have the benefit to mark the read messages once they have done reading it. The person who has sent the message will get to know that message has been read by you. While this feature is really handy, it can also a problem especially. This feature can also make the person feel that you are avoiding them even if that is not the case or you may be busy and may not be able to reply immediately.
To prevent such kinds of confusion, there is an option that is available which allows you to disable the options that show weather you have read the message or not. This way the other person will not get to know if you have read the message or not and will also help to prevent any kind of confusion or misunderstanding.
People who Own iPhone 6S plus and iPhone 6S can go ahead and read the messages that are sent to them without having the read receipt option active. The 3D touch that is installed in the latest models of iPhones has 2 new interaction modes that are enabled. It is called Pop and Peek. The Peek option allows you to have a look at the text message of email without opening it; however the Pop option goes and opens the message or email.
With the peak option, the person is able to go ahead and look at the message that is sent to them, when this happens; the read receipt is triggered and automatically sent to the sender. There are also preset replies that can be sent when you are having a peek at the conversation that is going on. This feature can be turned off by going into the Messages option under settings and turning off the feature which is by default enabled.
