The Recycle and Reuse program that is present in all the Apple Store’s allows the customer to trade their older phones for a new one. While this program was only meant for those phones which were in a good condition, the recent tweet made by the company has now made the official announcement of the changes.
The report that was given by 9to5Mac was confirmed by a spokesperson on February 5th, 2016 by a spokesperson of the company. This new policy is a boon for consumers who had damaged phones and didn’t know what could be done out of it. This also helps them to save a lot of money as they do not have to worry about getting it repaired. This program is not just applicable for the older models, however it is also applicable for those who have iPhone6 +, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S etc. This will be applicable for those phones that are brought to the store. For those that are traded online, this feature is still not applicable.
Based on the kind of damage the phone has, the person will get the relevant credit amount, if applicable. As per this plan, the damages that are presently accepted within the set reason that has been laid out by the company to receive the credit amount. Some of the reasons which are accepted would include damaged buttons, cameras and displays. The trade in value can go from a minimum of $50 to even an amount of $200 depending on the kind of model the customer has as well as the damage.
