As per reports and announcements done by Apple, last Friday saw Apple considering one of their mistakes and planning to send out the solution to all the users who had faced with problems regarding this mistake. The main mistake was the distribution of faulty USB C cable chargers to the Mac Book Retina users, as a part of the whole package. Moreover, for two months, the company had distributed these faulty cables at their online as well as retail stores. Now the company is looking to rectify this mistake by sending in new improved USB C cable chargers to all the users who has got this faulty charger. This week, this process was carried out and many of the users got the replacement cables delivered to them.
Initially, Apple had said that the new and improved USB C charger cables will be automatically sent to the buyers of the Mac Book Retina who had provided the retail store or online store with valid mailing addresses. As per some of the reports on client portals of Apple, there are a number of buyers who has received a package from FedEx. It contained the cable as well as a simple letter stating the reason for sending the cable.
According to the reports, Apple has stated that the first lot of cables which went out with the Mac Book Retina package was all most likely faulty due to an error in the designing. When connected to the Mac Book, the charger cables failed to charge the machine. The only time it did any charging, it was when connected to power adapters, but the charging was feeble and intermittent.
The way one can distinguish between a faulty cable and a new cable is that the faulty cable has a label saying,” Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China.” On the other hand, the workable cables have the exact same label statement, added with the serial number of the cable.
