Apple has this week released a supporting document to address the issue that a few iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were having when the users experience difficulty with battery percentage which is on display right in the status bar on the iPhones unable to update the actual battery percentage.

In the document Apple notes that it is at the moment investigating this issue and is working on a definite solution. At present they advice to restart the device in case such a problem occurs. In case someone travels from one time zone to another then the problem of the battery percentage in the status bar appears.

A lengthy discussion on a forum thread in Apple’s official discussion forums reveals that some people are having issues, in devices as old as those launched the last September. Many people that are having the issues are manually changing the time and clock settingson those devices. The solutions are being developed that such an issue doesn’t persist in the future, even in cases where timezones are changing in cases of travel.
