Apple Watch is soon going to double up as a GoPro remote control, present on their wrist. This Thursday, GoPro introduced a new feature on their iOS app for the Apple Watch, which turns the Apple Watch into a small sized wrist watch remote control for the GoPro WiFi enabled cameras. It can be used to start or stop video recording, also adjusting the settings of the GoPro camera, as well as that allows for the user to tap which shall add a HiLight bookmark on that specific section of the video which enables it to be discovered when editing.
The Apple Watch also will act as a remote viewfinder for the camera that shall help to frame the shots before starting the recording, it can also add a shortcut, on the main screen of the Watch which will be a remote button to start recording immediately. The update of the app also introduced newer features to add on the previous version of the iOS app, like allowing to scroll through the video so as to find and then help save that particular frame as an image or photograph.
This settings and function will come in use when operating the GoPro drone Karma, which shall be available in a few months. This Thursday GoPro revealed the name of drone camera quadcopter that will be released sometime in the coming months.
