The iPad Pro in addition to being a pretty powerful tablet can also be used as a second display screen for Macs. The iPad boasts of a crisp 12.9in display along with powerful performance.
A new app named “Duet display”, developed by former Apple engineers can do exactly that. It can convert all iPads into a second screen for any laptops or desktops PC or Mac. Along with providing a second screen, the app also lets users interact with the second screen by way of touch, a capability that has largely difficult to achieve by any means without the app.
The procedure to have the iPad as the second screen is
■ Firstly download and install the Duet Display app on your iPad from the App Store.
■ Now head to the device that needs the iPad as the second screen, and download the Duet Display from the Duet Display website, available for Windows and Mac.
■ Install the application on the device.
■ Now open the Duet Display app on the iPad and plug it into the device by way of USB connection.
■ That’s it ! Now you have an extended desktop with two displays. To disconnect the display, simply quit the Duet app on the iPad.
This app’s inventive feature is sure to draw many users to it and may even prompt Apple to come up with something similar in the future iOS editions.
