Russia Targets Apple and 16 Resellers Pertaining to Price Fixing of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

Reuters released a statement about the fact that the claims that were made on price fixing by Apple has been denied by the company, as per what was informed, the resellers sell the products on the price that they fix and the company has nothing to do with it. As per the statement that had been released by the company they went on to say that any Apple Products which are sold not just in Russia but anywhere across the globe are sold in prices that are set by the resellers.

This is not the first time that Apple has been targeted in Russia when it came to price fixing, even in the past there were accusations that had been thrown across by the federal antitrust body of the country. Now the investigations are officially going on and a case has also been opened. The accusations that have been put across is that involved 16 resellers and Apple coming into an agreement pertaining to the prices which had been fixed for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

In regards to the issue, the Federal Anti Monopoly Services had stated that a citizen had first brought this matter to light and had informed the officials that 16 resellers who were selling the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s were selling them at the same price.

There has been no official confirmation or statement given by the 16 resellers who have been accused and nothing by the company. One of the retailers of mobile phone, who is said to be the largest in Russia called Euroset has already denied the fact that when it came to the prices of the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s, there was no coordination between them and the company and that the accusations that were made were false.
